Description

This solar plate etching was made from a series of photos taken mid 2023.These works contain images of derelict Williamsons Power Station in Lancaster. Most recently occupied by SupaSkips, the company had their licence revoked for not complying with regulations and left abandoning 13,000 tonnes of waste, an indoor landfill. In December 2023 it caught alight and burned for over two weeks costing Lancaster County Council £900,000 to extinguish. The building has now been condemned and is structurally unsafe due to be demolished, once someone can be found to pay for it. This view if of the outside on the building, through a tiny gap in the window you can see all the way through the whole building.
